Day 382 Art Meditation, May 3, 2024

This month is my May Art-Drop, and my online store ( annehunsicker.com ) is newly loaded with my new art, and merchandise with heart-messages. 

Since this is my first time doing an Art Drop, and I am calling on Andy Warhol for support. I love this quote: “Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” 

It’s interesting too because I don’t love his art, but I completely love his bravery and confidence in his art, and I love that he figured out how to monetize his art. But he was such an extrovert, and I’m such an Introvert … 

Still, I’m putting myself and my art out there.

Process wise, when I was making my paper sculpture, I decided to have my graphic art be an extension of the paper bubbles and curves of the sculpture. At some point the shape of the curve started to overlap. And then my Heart was happy, because it made me think of our “Interconnectedness”, which is something I want to write INTO more this month … 

It’s a strange new space to be working on something that feels good to me. Instead of having a function, to create art that fills up my heart, and stop there.

Inner worlds are so important. Art is a pathway towards healing. Art can help us shape our inner world, which then shapes our OUTER world.
